For couples desiring to determine if engagement is a wise next step in their relationship.

The Bible is full of instruction on the wisdom of receiving counsel; Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Before you ask or answer one of the most important questions of your life—will you marry me?—a wise couple will avail themselves of wise counsel. This is the purpose of our Pre-Engagement Mentors—wise couples who can come alongside you and provide guidance on the next steps of your relationship.

Engaged couples preparing for marriage

We want to congratulate you on your engagement and come alongside you as you prepare for a lifetime of marriage. Our desire is to provide you with the resources and equipping you’ll need for a Christ-exalting marriage. Just as a wedding coordinator helps with the wedding day, we want to help with the marriage. Premarital mentors are available to any member of MacArthur Blvd who is preparing for marriage and is required for members desiring to be married at MacArthur Blvd.

MARRIAGE

For married couples seeking marital investment from experienced, spiritually mature couples of MacArthur Blvd

Newlyweds

Many couples believe the first year of marriage is the hardest. Having a mentoring couple to help guide you through this first year is priceless. Couples completing premarital mentoring through MacArthur Blvd are required to undergo one year of marriage mentoring following their wedding.

Couples seeking enrichment

There is no need to wait until your marriage is falling apart before you begin investing into it. Investing in your marriage through marriage mentoring is an investment worth making. If you are a couple who has been married for one year or fifty years and you simply want to work to make your marriage stronger, then marriage mentoring is for you.

Couples in marital crisis

If you are facing a crisis within your marriage, then marriage mentoring is absolutely vital. Christians have the tendency to hide their problems and distance themselves from other believers when going through difficult times. This is the worst thing we can do. Though it requires humility, a marriage mentoring couple may be the means by which God saves your marriage. Remember, God gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).
