Making Your Ministry Count
Colossians 4:17-182016 - Non-Series Sermons

Description:
Paul is closing out the book of Colossians with a genuine spiritual concern for his friends. He specifically wants Archippus to know that his ministry of service is a gift from God and he needs to finish well. His words of encouragement “Take heed” were mentioned to stir him on to complete his ministry. Service in ministry is not something we do FOR God; it is something God does IN and THROUGH us. God has created us and set us apart for ministry. It’s vital that we lay aside our desires in full pursuit of God’s desires.
As a member of MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church, God has led you to partner with one another to fulfill His mission. You are not here by accident; your existence and being a part of this church family is part of God’s plan. We together have the privilege of fulfilling God’s purpose. Every person has an important role in the body of Christ. If someone is not involved, then the church is not as strong as it could be.
Over the last couple of weeks, you have been praying about how the Lord will use you next year. ServeOne is our annual service enlistment campaign and we are asking every member to identify at least one area of service to commit to for the next ministry year (August 2016 – August 2017). As you pray and read through our ServeOne booklet, seek the Lord on where He wants you to serve. You are welcome to serve another year in the same ministry you are currently serving or try something different. You are also welcome to sign up for more than one place. This Sunday, June 5, we will be collecting all completed commitment cards during the morning services. We only ask that whatever you choose, you serve with a high level of commitment and faithfulness over the next twelve months.
