The Way

There is only one way to God. The only way to God is through trusting and following Jesus Christ. Jesus preached one primary message: “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.” This means that Jesus alone is to be followed and worshipped and trusted.
There are many ways that look like they lead to God but in reality only lead to destruction: the way of the “religiously faithful” (Matthew 5), the way of the “hypocrite” (Matthew 6), and the way of the “secularist” (Matthew 6) are all exposed by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.
The way of the “religiously faithful” is deceptive because it is filled with good works and good intentions. The only problem is that it attempts to meet God’s standard of righteousness without trusting Christ. The way of the “hypocrite” looks good from the outside but it is missing an internal desire to worship and glorify God.
