Description:
Love is personified in God Himself. God is love by His very nature and extends His love to us. Our ability to love comes from Him; therefore, love is evidence that we have been born again. Children of God will resemble their heavenly Father through their love. Human love is responsive love (we love in response to good characteristics in another person); God’s love is gracious love. God takes the initiative and loves us even though there is nothing in us that deserves His love.
