If you are a baptized Christian, you have made a public commitment to follow Jesus Christ no matter the cost. This commitment provides no room for passivity. God is not absent. He is sustaining life in you. He is watching and He will return. Christ Himself made the good confession just like you have and He remained holy until the end of His earthly life. God is perfectly wise, completely sovereign, independently immortal, and unapproachably transcendent. He cannot be defeated!
